Joshua Danko — CNQR Fitness & Nutrition

I'm Joshua — personal trainer, prep coach, and the guy behind CNQR Fitness & Nutrition. Before I started coaching anyone else, I had to rebuild myself first. I lost over 200 pounds of my own, then went on to compete in both powerlifting and bodybuilding. That dual experience shaped my approach to powerbuilding — strength and physique work built into one program. So when I'm coaching you, this isn't theory. It's lived experience.

I've spent the years since coaching clients across every level — first-time lifters building a foundation, lifestyle clients reclaiming their health, and competitive physique athletes prepping for the stage. The common thread is that real transformation isn't built on punishment or willpower. It's built on systems that actually work for your life.

CNQR was built on a simple idea: rebuild from within. When the foundation is solid — mindset, habits, recovery, and how you move — everything else follows. I don't sell motivation. I build programs that adapt with you, whether you train next to me in person or check in remotely from anywhere.

We start with a full movement screen, goal-setting conversation, and lifestyle audit. No two clients start from the same place — your program shouldn't either. Everything is measured: strength, mobility, recovery capacity, and where you actually want to go.

You get a periodized program built around your assessment and your life. It progresses weekly. We adjust based on real data — your strength gains, sleep, stress, and how recovery actually feels — not a generic 12-week template.

Common questions.

Do I need to be in shape to start? +
No. The best time to start is now, wherever you are. Many of my most successful clients started with zero training background. Everything is built around your current ability and progressed from there.
How is online coaching different from in-person? +
Online clients get a fully custom program, weekly check-ins, ongoing messaging access, and the same level of programming and nutrition support as in-person clients. The main difference is autonomy — you'll be running your own sessions.
What if I have an injury or medical condition? +
I work with a lot of clients managing past injuries or chronic conditions. As long as you're medically cleared to exercise, we can build a program that respects your body. For complex cases, I sometimes coordinate with your PT or physician.
How long is a typical commitment? +
Most programs start with a 12-week minimum because that's the timeframe where real change becomes visible and habits become permanent. After that, most clients continue month-to-month. Long-term coaching is where the deepest results live.
Do you offer free consultations? +
Yes — every accepted application gets a complimentary 20-minute consultation call before we start. It's how I make sure we're a good fit, and how you get to ask anything you want before committing.
What if I don't live in Youngstown? +
No problem — I have clients all over the country. Online coaching delivers the same custom programming, weekly check-ins, and direct messaging access you'd get in person. We adapt the program to your training environment and schedule. Many of my online clients have never set foot in Youngstown.
How does payment work? +
In-person sessions are paid per session or in packages. Online, hybrid, and prep coaching run month-to-month after the initial 12-week commitment. I accept all major credit cards, Venmo, and Zelle. We'll go over the specific payment structure on our consultation call so it's clear before you start.
How is contest prep different from regular coaching? +
Contest prep is more intensive across the board — higher check-in frequency, more detailed nutrition tracking, peak week strategy, posing guidance, and a structured post-show plan. The pricing reflects that increased involvement. It's not for everyone, but for physique athletes preparing for the stage, it's a different level of coaching than general training.
What's your cancellation policy? +
Online programs run month-to-month with 30 days' notice to cancel. In-person sessions follow a 24-hour cancellation policy — any cancellation inside of 24 hours will be charged for the session. Full details are in your client agreement at the start of coaching.
